NMGC Pace of Play Guidelines

Pace of Play Expectations

Groups teeing off before 11am must complete 18 holes in less than 4hr 10min.

Groups teeing off after 11am and before noon must complete in less than 4hr 20 min.

Groups teeing off after noon must complete play in less than 4hr 30min.

The last group of the day should finish in less than 4hr 40min.

**Note: Failure to meet these standards will require you and/or your group to play later in the day as the pace of play time requirements are lessened.

Definition of Out of Position

All groups must maintain visual contact with the group in front of them. Your group is out of position if you are not able to visually see the group in front of you.

Membership Expectations

It is within the spirit of the game for members to expect from one another that we all follow these ten fundamental requirements to maintain a great pace of play at our club.

1. Be ready to play when it is your turn.
2. You must be aware of your position on the course.
3. If your group falls behind you must catch-up.
4. Play a provisional ball if you believe your ball may be lost outside a water hazard or may be out of bounds. (USGA Rule 27-1, 27-2).
5. Watch the shots of all players in the group.
6. Always wave up groups on Hole #13. Use judgment on Hole #3.
7. If Hole #10 tee box is open, do not delay - immediately proceed to tee.

The NMGC Executive Committee will sanction players for slow play.
